Friday at The Dinah !

Friday at The Dinah marks the official beginning of ClubSkirts’ legendary, beyond monumental, weekend Pool Parties.  A guaranteed out-of -this world experience no one can’t afford to miss! 

Opening the TGIDF Dinah Pool Party is Canadian pop singer Anjulie, who made her marks on the music charts with her memorable radio hits “Boom”,  “Rain”,“Brand New Bitch” (which landed at # 5 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart, becoming her 4^th consecutive top 10 hit), and more recently "You and I".

With her unique voice, disarmingly frank lyrics, melodic gifts and exotic sex appeal, Anjulie undeniably announces herself as a commanding new presence on the music scene and is sure to make more than a splash at Friday’s famed Dinah Pool Party.

The early evening will see the exclusive premiere of Club Skirts "Dinah Film Series" event in association with both, actress Jill Bennett, and veteran TV producer/Director Page Hurwitz.

Bennett will debut the first two episodes of her new Independent sitcom “Second Shot”,  on Friday, April 5 at 6:30pm at The Hilton Hotel in Palm Springs.

 

Joining her is Page Hurwitz who will premiere as well her highly anticipated Dinah documentary entitled "Out In The Desert” - a feature length documentary offering an exclusive insider's look into some of the poignant stories of the women attending the largest lesbian event in the world: The Dinah!

The party-centric set will then want to move straight to the Grand Ballroom at Hotel Zoso for the world-renown “White Party” – the Dinah annual blowout that promises to be more massive than ever.

Headlining the “White Party” is internationally known Aussie DJ, Havana Brown, who is not only still rocking radio airwaves with her hit single "We Run The Night" featuring Pitbull, but is also currently displayed on a billboard in one of the most iconic locations in the world, Times Square. 

The quickly rising pop star, who is taking the world by storm after an amazing live performance on America’s Got Talent, a fresh new EP "When the Lights Go Out", and a touring resume featuring an impressive array of artists in the likes of Britney Spears, The Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Enrique Iglesias, will “run the night” on Friday with a spectacular show.

Celebrating its 23^rd year, The Dinah—the world’s largest girl party/music festival—will transform the historic desert city of Palm Springs, Calif. into a nexus of legendary entertainers, rising pop stars, lesbian celebs and women from all over the world for one unforgettable weekend.

West Hollywood, CA,  was the place to be last night as HerHRC hosted its "Carnival of Delight" event at Club Robertson.

From the people who brought you We Have To Stop Now, 3Way and We're Getting Nowhere comes "Second Shot", the new independent sitcom written by Nancylee Myatt (3way), Dara Nai (afterellen.com), and Claudia Cogan (Last Comic Standing). Jill Bennett stars as "Kat McDonald," a woman who left her small hometown to seek fame and fortune as a pro soccer player. Things didn't go as planned and now Kat's back where she started. Turns out, you can go home again. Crap!

Bennett will debut the first two episodes of her new comedy on Friday, April 5 during "The Dinah Film Series" held at The Hilton Hotel in Palm Springs at 6:30pm.

As women from all over the world will descend upon the famed California desert known as Palm Springs to attend Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend April 3-7 (www.TheDinah.com), all with different expectations, schedules, and friends, there is one immutable element that continues to link them all together: the music.

This year, the 2013 Dinah Entertainment Roster delivers, as always, plenty of incredible talent, awesome bands, and groundbreaking artists ranging from pop to dance, and indie music to electronica, that make up one hell of a line up.

The world’s largest girl party/music festival will, for the 23rd year in a row, turn the city of Palm Springs into the ultimate entertainment hub, offering an epic slate of Top Ten Billboard headliners, rising pop stars, and celebrities.

KARMIN, the pop sensation duo & Rolling Stone Magazine's "Woman who Rock" Winner, known for their infectious summer hit "Broken Hearted" headlines The Dinah 2013 during the “Monte Carlo” party held at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Saturday, April 6, 2013.

Talent line-up includes as well HAVANA BROWN ("We Own The Night" ft Pitbull), Reggae/Dancehall legend DIANA KING, the “Vampire Diaries” very own KAT GRAHAM ("Put Your Graffiti On Me"), and electropop duo UH HUH HER as the grand finale (Sunday, April 7).
