Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend has just announced the addition of Leah LaBelle to its 2013 Entertainment line-up.

Building on its reputation as the inescapable venue for new recording artists to breakthrough, in less than 2 decades, Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend – the largest Lesbian event in the world - has positioned itself as a trendsetting event that entertainment industry insiders watch and jockey to book their artists’ performances.

As a MUST DO venue that has proven to be the catalyst propelling new young artist to superstar status, The Dinah was a logical choice for LaBelle’s record Label and agency (CAA), who reached out to Mariah Hanson (founder & producer of The Dinah) for a coveted spot on the 2013 Dinah Talent Roster.

Now following the footsteps of Lady Gaga. Katy Perry, The Pussy Cat Dolls, Kesha, Dev and Neon Hitch (to name a few), who, post-Dinah, have all gone to become Grammy/VMA winners, #1 Billboard charters, and international hitmakers, LaBelle is set to perform during the Dinah “Monte Carlo” party held on Saturday, April 6 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, following the buzz-heavy headlining performance by pop duo Karmin.

Showcasing her sensational voice and flare, the talented young artist will deliver a variety of songs from her new album (due out this year) including the hit single “Sexify” and her new track “Lolita”, produced by Pharrell Williams, which recently premiered on Complex.com.

No stranger to the music industry, Labelle was a contestant on the 3rd season of American Idol, bowing out at a respectable 12th position.  While she certainly made her marks on the TV show, it was her YouTube videos that made her an overnight phenomenon. As a result she landed gigs singing backup for such artists as Jordin Sparks, The Jonas Brothers, Eric Benet and Britney Spears.

The Canadian-born daughter of Bulgarian refugees eventually caught the eyes and ears of L.A. Reid, Pharrell Williams and Jermaine Dupri who signed her to a joint deal with their respective labels, Epic Records, i.am.OTHER and So So Def Recordings.

This former American Idol contestant turned backup singer, turned Youtube sensation (phew!), has now turned music’s new “IT” girl, making a whole lot of noise as a solo artist.

Club Skirts and Sirius XM Radio are bringing back by popular demand the famously entertaining Fourth Annual "Celebrity Dodge Ball Match" at The Dinah this year again. 

 The game will kick off with an exclusive, never seen-before, face off featuring our very own Dinah Go-Go Dancers versus the Celesbian team.

Sporting their trademark go-go booty shorts and dancer tops on, the super sexy Go-Go dancers will play two sets against the returning champs, Team Celesbians.

It’s on! The Dinah go-go dancers team has officially challenged the Celesbians!

“We plan on beating the celesbians by using our sex appeal and our athletic body!!!  Keep in mind, we’re the girls who get up first thing in the morning and run in the sand.  So, to my pretty celesbians: bring it!!!.” says  Lupe Coronado captain of the go-go dancers team.

SUNDAY AT THE DINAH!

The Dinah will keep the party going, the surprises coming and Palm Springs rocking until the very last day of the festival!

Sunday will kick things off with the Annual Tea Dance Pool Party at the Hilton hotel with an exclusive live performance by the iconic DIANA KING.

 

The Reggae/Dancehall legend, who sold more than 5 million copies of her debut album "Tougher Than Love", is responsible for chart topping hits like "Shy Guy" from the “Bad Boys” soundtrack, "Say a Little Prayer"  from the soundtrack to My Best Friends Wedding, "Treat Her Like a Lady"“ from Celine Dion’s Let’s Talk About Love album, and "Respect" from Notorious B.I.G’s debut album Ready to Die. 

 Yet King’s biggest accomplishment came last year, when she bravely decided to proclaim her sexual identity as a lesbian—breaking a major taboo in Jamaican culture and making headlines around the world.

 

The day will also be filled with celebrity appearances including Lauren Bedford Russell, Kiyomi McCloskey (Hunter Valentine) and other cast members of “The Real L Word”; 

 .... as well as a preview performance by British pop star Katy Tiz who is already taking the music scene by storm with her massive smash “Famous”.

The critically acclaimed electropop duo UH HUH HER will then deliver a grand finale concert at 8:00pm at Hotel Zoso in Palm Springs, CA.         

                                                         

Returning for the third time to The Dinah, the LA-based duo, crowned  “lesbian royalty”, featuring Leisha Hailey, better known as bisexual journalist Alice Pieszecki on Showtime’s The L Word, and ex-Mellodrone bassist and keyboardis Camila Grey, will perform a variety of songs from their latest album Nocturnes featuring “Same High,” written for and featured in the Golden Globe-winning and Academy Award-nominated film The Kids Are All Right, as well as their EP Black and Blue, and their seminal debut album Common Reaction including the anthemic single “Not A Love Song.”

 The Dinah will conclude its spectacular 5-day weekend with one last EPIC party – the Official Closing Party - at hotel Zoso with an encore performance by Katy Tiz.

Saturday at The Dinah!

Brace yourself for non-stop action as The Dinah’s Saturday schedule offers a plethora of entertaining and exceptional activities all day long.

The fun starts with the Cabana Pool Party at the Hilton Hotel with an exclusive live performance by “The Vampire Diaries” very own KAT GRAHAM.

Back by popular demand for the fourth year, Saturday will see the return of two Dinah signature events: the famously entertaining “Celebrity Dodge Ball Tournament” sponsored by Sirius XM Radio, and One More Lesbian (OML) ever-popular “Annual Battle of the Webseries” – both hosted by “Out Q” radio personality Doria Biddle and Fortune Feimster of “Chelsea Lately”.

 

Your favorite cast members of Showtime's hugely popular Reality TV Show "The Real L Word" Season 3 will also be in attendance all day long at the Pool Party. Friday at The Dinah !

Friday at The Dinah marks the official beginning of ClubSkirts’ legendary, beyond monumental, weekend Pool Parties.  A guaranteed out-of -this world experience no one can’t afford to miss! 

Opening the TGIDF Dinah Pool Party is Canadian pop singer Anjulie, who made her marks on the music charts with her memorable radio hits “Boom”,  “Rain”,“Brand New Bitch” (which landed at # 5 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart, becoming her 4^th consecutive top 10 hit), and more recently "You and I".

With her unique voice, disarmingly frank lyrics, melodic gifts and exotic sex appeal, Anjulie undeniably announces herself as a commanding new presence on the music scene and is sure to make more than a splash at Friday’s famed Dinah Pool Party.

The early evening will see the exclusive premiere of Club Skirts "Dinah Film Series" event in association with both, actress Jill Bennett, and veteran TV producer/Director Page Hurwitz.

Bennett will debut the first two episodes of her new Independent sitcom “Second Shot”,  on Friday, April 5 at 6:30pm at The Hilton Hotel in Palm Springs.

 

Joining her is Page Hurwitz who will premiere as well her highly anticipated Dinah documentary entitled "Out In The Desert” - a feature length documentary offering an exclusive insider's look into some of the poignant stories of the women attending the largest lesbian event in the world: The Dinah!

Headlining the “White Party” is internationally known Aussie DJ, Havana Brown, who is not only still rocking radio airwaves with her hit single "We Run The Night" featuring Pitbull, but is also currently displayed on a billboard in one of the most iconic locations in the world, Times Square. 

The quickly rising pop star, who is taking the world by storm after an amazing live performance on America’s Got Talent, a fresh new EP "When the Lights Go Out", and a touring resume featuring an impressive array of artists in the likes of Britney Spears, The Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Enrique Iglesias, will “run the night” on Friday with a spectacular show.
