The first Dinah Shore Weekend (created by Mariah
Hanson) held at the Palm Springs Museum in
1991 was out of control. Girls were climbing the walls, the rooftop and
danced around in the up lighting with their shirts off until the 75 year old
security guards brought them down.
Suffice to say, we were not invited back to that venue!

In 1992 Bonnie Pointer of the Pointer Sisters was
billed as the headlining act. The singer came out in a blonde wig. Many attendees were very angry because they didn’t believe it was Bonnie
Pointer to which Mariah answered: "It better be, cause I paid for Bonnie
Pointer!"

"Out Magazine" sponsors The Dinah marking the first time ever a major magazine endorses the event.
4. Ellen DeGeneres unexpectedly showed up at the 1993 Club Skirts Friday night "White

One year, someone tried to unscrew the light bulb in the
Jacuzzi because they wanted to get sexy, not realizing that water and
electricity don’t mix.
7. The ground moved?
In 2010 during the Sunday Pool Party at The Dinah a 7.5 earthquake hit Palm Springs.
Dinah attendees were already in full blown party mode they actually thought they were the ones literally "rocking" Palm Springs!

8. Leisha Haley of Uh Huh Her confesses that her favorite Dinah moment was
watching Katy Perry when she first started and Cam tugging on her hair
backstage and asking her if it was a wig.
